I like plugins, because they are huge!

With just a matter of days remaining for Premier League clubs to finalise any last-minute deals before the transfer window closes, attention will soon turn to how the new faces will fare on the pitch. Some have swapped one Premier League club for another – like Harry Maguire’s £80million switch from Leicester to Manchester United. But for others, this will be their first campaign in the English top flight.  With that in mind, Sportsmail takes a look at 10 of the best signings who are preparing for their debut campaigns in the Premier League.   Arsenal smashed their transfer record to secure Nicolas Pepe from Lille in a deal worth £72mDANIEL JAMES – MANCHESTER UNITED (£15m)Make no mistake about it, James is heading into the new season with a fierce determination to be a starting winger for Manchester United. At 21, that would seem improbable given he was operating at a mid-table side in the Championship last season. But a full pre-season under his belt, where he has received regular minutes, has put him firmly in the picture ahead of the opener against Chelsea. The Welshman assumed the role of hero in Cardiff at the weekend with the winning penalty against AC Milan and few will bet against him having an impact in lots of games this season. With pace few can match and a genuine eye for goal, James is chomping at the bit to get going There is lots of excitement about Daniel James after he has impressed during pre-seasonNICOLAS PEPE – ARSENAL (£72m)While he may not have been the absolute priority in the eyes of some supporters, Nicolas Pepe will offer real directness and, like James at United, incredible pace that will keep defenders up at night. The club’s £72m record signing naturally carries a heavy burden on his shoulders given the price tag but he looks sharp and ready to hit the ground running after a solid Africa Cup of Nations campaign with the Ivory Coast. Having scored 35 goals in 74 games for Lille during his two years at the club – 22 of those goals came last season – he will carry a major threat from wide areas. Expect to see Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mesut Ozil and Pepe in a three behind Alexandre Lacazette.
