Jake Fromm and the Georgia Bulldogs have seen better days.
For the first time this season, one of college football’s Top 5 teams fell victim to an upset on Saturday as South Carolina snapped an 11-game losing streak vs. Top 25 teams with a 20-17 double overtime shocker in Athens.
“We turned the ball over four times and got none,” Georgia coach Kirby Smart said. “When you get the ball from the other team four teams, one of them scores, when a team scores on defense it’s like a 90 percent chance they’re going to win, and we still almost overcame that. But you can’t turn the ball over four times and win.
“There’s a lot of things we can clean up.”
Gamecocks cornerback Israel Mukuamu recorded three interceptions, including one for a 53-yard touchdown in the second quarter.
Other important games during Separation Saturday in college football included Oklahoma’s win over Texas, Alabama’s convincing win in College Station, LSU’s shootout victory over Florida in Baton Rouge and Penn State’s getaway at Iowa.
Several unbeatens fell in Week 7, including Wake Forest and Memphis.

The word: Too close to call in many of these spots with several games not yet final on Saturday, one team that will be moving up is Baylor after holding off Texas Tech in double overtime to record its sixth straight victory to open the season. After holding the Red Raiders to a field goal, the Bears scored a walk-off touchdown near the goal line to prevail, 33-30.
